The moment you are diagnosed with cancer, you begin a journey that impacts every aspect of your life and the lives of those you love. It is a journey that can be difficult, enlightening, confusing, hopeful and everything in between. Fully aware that we are our patients’ companions on this journey, Kansas City Cancer Center is proud to offer a groundbreaking program called The Seven Levels of Healing®. Dr. Jeremy Geffen, a board-certified medical oncologist and leading expert in integrative medicine, developed this program to help patients and loved ones navigate all aspects of the cancer journey — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual — with clarity, skill, compassion and integrity.
The Seven Levels of Healing®
Level 1: Education and Information
Gain important knowledge and information about cancer and the latest treatment options.
Level 2: Connection with Others
Learn about the benefits of a strong support network on your journey through cancer.
Level 3: The Body as Garden
Explore complementary therapies and learn to regard your body as a sacred and wondrously complex garden – not just a machine.
Level 4: Emotional Healing
Learn how to deal effectively with the emotional issues and challenges you may encounter when dealing with cancer.
Level 5: The Nature of Mind
Explore how your thoughts and beliefs influence every aspect of your experience on the journey through cancer, and life itself.
Level 6: Life Assessment
Discover your life’s meaning, purpose, and most important goals. What do you want to accomplish, experience, and share with others?
Level 7: The Nature of Spirit
Connect to the profoundly healing spiritual dimension of life that we all share.

Introductory sessions are offered Wednesdays, 2:00–4:00 p.m., and include a program overview as well as
Q & A. Participants are asked to attend an introductory session before enrolling in the full program.

Jeremy R. Geffen, MD, FACPDr. Geffen is a board-certified medical oncologist, a pioneer in the field of integrative medicine and oncology, and the founder of Geffen Visions International, Inc.
