Guiding patients on their journey
Newly-diagnosed cancer patients confront an onslaught of worries and questions as they cope with their diagnoses. Those with breast cancer often face additional concerns about body image, relationships and treatment choices. More than anything, they want answers.
Enter Kansas City Cancer Center’s new breast cancer patient navigation program, providing patients with the information they need to make the critical decisions ahead. The program also offers patients support and guidance in the face of the uncertainty, stress and confusion that invariably accompany a cancer diagnosis. Part medical reference, part treatment facilitator and part support group, breast cancer patient navigation is 100% focused on walking with patients on their journeys through cancer – and beyond.
