Born in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Robert Belt attended the University of Colorado in Boulder where he received his undergraduate degree, and later, the University of Colorado Medical Center where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Belt went on to complete both his residency and a Clinical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Belt currently serves as the Medical Director of Saint Luke’s Hospital Cancer Center and has served as Principal Investigator for the Kansas City Clinical Oncology Program where he now serves as Associate Principal Director, a position that he’s held since 1993. Formerly, Dr. Belt was in private practice and was an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the University of Kansas Medical Center division of Medical Oncology. Dr. Belt has published over 60 works on cancer-related subjects. Dr. Belt is married with three daughters.
