After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and the University of Kansas Medical Center with a Doctor of Medicine, Dr. McKittrick completed a three-year residency and a two-year Clinical Oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He was then an Assistant Professor for five years at the University of Kansas School of Medicine with special interest in breast cancer and sarcomas. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Dr. McKittrick has a particular interest in breast cancer prevention, high-risk breast lesions, non-invasive breast cancer and new cancer therapies. His goal is to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art care to people with cancer and to help them understand and manage their health to the greatest extent possible. As part of his personal practice philosophy, Dr. McKittrick tries to provide expert, humanistic advice so difficult health decisions can be made in a setting of hope, understanding and realism. In his spare time, Dr. McKittrick enjoys exercising and spending time with his four children.
