Dr. Johnson-Giannopoulos was born in Osage, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Dr. Johnson completed a one-year rotating internship at the U.S. Public Service Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She completed a three-year Internal Medicine residency at Menorah Medical Center, where she performed sub-specialty rotations for one year at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also fulfilled a two-year Hematology fellowship and a one-year Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Johnson-Giannopoulos is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. She serves as coordinator of the weekly clinical cancer conferences at Providence Medical Center and is chairperson of the Cancer Committee at Providence Medical Center. Her professional interests include Diagnostic Hematology and the management of its related problems.
