Dr. Elia earned her medical degree at the Tbilisi State Medical Institute. Dr. Elia started her residency at the Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1982, followed by her post-doctoral fellowship in Hematology combined with Ph.D. program at the Tbilisi State Medical Institute. From 1996 to 2002, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta and her Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and the Breast program at Emory University and the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Dr. Elia is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology and has contributed several research articles both in Soviet medical journals and the ACCR. She has been with KCCC since July, 2002. Dr. Elia lives in Fairway, Kansas, is married and has one daughter.
