Jenni Showalter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Kansas School of Nursing in 1997. She worked as a registered nurse at Columbia North Suburban Medical Center and then Columbia Swedish Medical Center, both in Colorado, before returning to Kansas in 2000 when she joined the Kansas City Cancer Center team. In 2006, Jenni received a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Kansas School of Nursing graduating with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Oncology Nursing Society. By utilizing evidence-based practice, Jenni strives to improve the outcomes and quality of life for patients with cancer. She is married and has two children. She enjoys snow skiing, boating and spending time with her family.
