Carrie Englert has been focused on caring for oncology patients since she began her career in nursing after graduating from the University of Iowa in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a minor in psychology. She worked for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for two years with gynecology oncology and thoracic oncology patients before moving to the Kansas City area. Carrie worked at the University of Kansas Medical Center in the hematology/oncology unit and during that time completed the Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Master’s program at the University of Kansas. After completing her Master’s degree, she continued working in the hematology department as a board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at The University of Kansas Cancer Center before coming to Kansas City Cancer Center in 2007. She is a member of the national Oncology Nursing Society. Carrie is married with one child and enjoys reading, running and traveling.
