Even more of Kansas City will be “in the pink” this October, as Kansas City Cancer Center (KCCC) makes plans to increase its Pink Fountains campaign in support of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This year, KCCC says it will dye a dozen fountains, stretching from Lee’s Summit to Lenexa. It’s a tradition that began five years ago when KCCC turned just a handful of Kansas City Parks and Recreation fountains pink to bring awareness to the breast cancer.
